We’re coming to see the bump!
That’s what they said when they told us they were coming. My in-laws, that is. And so it was, at 22 weeks of pregnancy.
After we got back from the awesome wedding weekend, I pulled into high gear for some serious spring cleaning. We did some serious re-stocking shopping, fixed up a few little things in the guest room and bathroom, and we were good to go.
And it was totally a cool visit because A) they were our first visitors in Mexico, B) they brought me a bunch of stuff I had ordered online, C) we genuinely had a good time together.
M was in school or at clinic most of the time, but the three of us went to the fancy mall, and toured the campus, and went to see tequila made in the town of Tequila.
And luckily they speak Spanish so they ventured on their own in our neighborhood a couple times and that was good. One day, M took the “day off” and we all went downtown together to the Centro Historico, and ate lots of good Mexican food. So it was a success! And they saw the bump! which is apparently why they came, and I was happy to oblige.
